DescriptionPrerequisite: Math placement test or minimum grade of "C" in MAT0012 or MAT0055 or MAT0056. Intermediate Algebra receives college credit, but only elective credit, and cannot be used to satisfy the math requirements for the Associate in Arts degree. Topics included are factoring, algebraic fractions, radicals and rational exponents, complex numbers, quadratic equations, rational equations, linear equations and inequalities in two variables and their graphs, systems of linear equations and inequalities, introduction to functions, and applications of the above topics.
