DescriptionPrerequisite: Satisfactory mathematics placement on the College-Level Placement Test or completion of MAT1033 or MAC1105 with a minimum grade of "C." This course covers the fundamentals of chemistry with emphasis on descriptive chemistry. It includes topics in equations, stoichiometry, the Periodic Table, gas laws, nuclear chemistry, acids-bases, pH, and selected topics in carbon chemistry. (This course does not meet the chemistry requirement for science majors.)
